Bio

A Cary, NC resident, Geetika Kodali is an American-born right-hand allrounder who started playing cricket at age 11 among friends and relatives before beginning her formal training at age 15 at the Cricket Zeal Academy in California. She has represented the Cricket Zeal Academy, San Ramon Cricket Association, and Triangle Cricket League.

Geetu or Geets, as she referred to by her friends, lists Australian pacer Josh Hazelwood among her favorite cricketers, and perhaps that’s what is behind her medium pace bouncers aimed at opposing batters. She likes cricket, the many ways one can contribute to a team, and the camaraderie among individuals from all over the world bonding via a shared passion for the game.

The common motivational factors in Geetika Kodali’s life are her parents, who continuously encourage her to be the best person she can be in academics, socially, and athletics, and the very talented cricketers around her. They keep her on her toes because she enjoys competing with them. She represents the USA with a great deal of pride and sees it as an absolute honor to wear the red, white, and blue. It’s also an opportunity to cultivate lifelong friendships.
