Bio

A Rancho Santa Margarita, CA resident, Gargi "Gargs" Bhogle, was born in India and started playing cricket at age 14 in Southern California, coached by her dad. The left-hand top-order batter admires the left-hander Indian international cricketer Ravindra Jadeja.

Gargs can hold her own as a wicketkeeper and right-arm off-spinner and has represented AHM Yodhaz, Casuals, SoCal, and Southern California Youth Cricket Association.

Always intrigued by the uncertainty of the sport, Gargs is motivated by those who dare to doubt her ability simply because she’s a female cricketer. Gargi Bhogle sees representing the USA as an essential aspect of her life and is extremely proud of her accomplishments so far. She revels in her memory of representing the USA against Zimbabwe in that country during the ICC’s 2021 Women’s World Cup ODI Qualifier, with the energy of the spectators on hand adding intensity to the match when either team was still poised to win the game.
