Bio

Born in California, the right-hand batting allrounder Chetnaa Prasad fell in love with cricket at ten years of age and has represented California Cricket Academy, Major League Cricket Academy, Indus Cricket Club, and Northern California Cricket Academy. She admires Indian international cricket legend Kapil Dev.

Chets, as she’s known to her teammates, loves how cricket motivates her to be better every day and credits her parents and her brother Sabrish for encouraging her a lot while she made winning a motivational strategy. For Chets, representing the USA is an honor, and she’s reminded of the American motto “E Pluribus Unum” – out of many, one. She sees the motto as an ideal platform for the USA national team to stand united and is honored to be a part of such a team.

The San Francisco resident rates her 75 not out off 60 balls performance in the USA’s T20 inaugural domestic pathway for women’s cricket tournament as her favorite cricket memory to date. It ranks right up there with a 130-run partnership playing against Somerset County, including a 100-run partnership with her brother and scoring her first 50.
