The Western Regional Series is being held this weekend from July 15th to 18th, in Prairie View, Texas and, shortly after, the Western Conference squads for the Seniors and U19’s will also be announced.

The selected senior players will be competing in the USA Cricket Women’s National Championship to be held in Florida from August 3rd to 8th, where the Eastern/Central and Western Conferences will go head-to-head, playing 3 x 50 Over matches and 3 x Twenty20’s at Broward Cricket Stadium.

The Women’s Nationals will then be closely followed by the historic inaugural USA Cricket Women’s Under 19 National Championship when 4 Twenty20’s will be played between the two teams from August 11th to 13th.

USA Cricket Operations Director, Richard Done, commented, “There was a superb weekend of cricket on the fine turf wickets and facilities at Church Street, Morrisville for the Eastern Regionals which were closely fought and saw some fine individual performances. I would like to pay tribute to all of the volunteers who came out in their droves to support this event and we congratulate all of the players selected and emphasize that there is an exciting opportunity for all players to continue to work closely with the USA Women’s Coach, Julia Price in their ongoing development.

The Prairie View Cricket Complex in Texas will then play host to the Western Regionals this coming weekend and, with free admission for all four days, if you are in Texas please come down to support the women and girls as they play in what will be another extremely competitive Regional Series.”
