Alongside the new and exciting domestic playing opportunities that continue to be established across the United States, USA Cricket recognizes that, in order to grow participation in the sport at all levels, it is important to also create a proper program, pathway and opportunities for existing and aspiring umpires and coaches.
USA Cricket Director, Venu Pisike, Chairman of the USA Cricket Coach and Umpire Sub-Committee, explained, “The establishment of USA Cricket umpiring and coaching certification and professional development programs is a priority for USA Cricket and will immeasurably strengthen all aspects of the domestic cricketing landscape as well as provide a better experience for all associated with the game. The first logical step in that process is to develop a comprehensive register of all certified/qualified/trained umpires and coaches that already exist in the country so that we can communicate directly with them, understand what they are engaged with and how we can support then, including by developing a program that services those individuals and the broader needs of the cricket community.”
To that end, USA Cricket requests all those individuals who presently reside in the USA and who wish to be included on the USA Cricket register of officials and to receive related information about future USA Cricket umpiring and coaching certification and professional development programs moving forward to kindly complete the following registration forms:
